About The Trust

Recognizing the need to enrich and improve educational opportunities within our public school system, The Pomfret School Trust was founded in 1992 to nurture excellence in education in Pomfret, VT.

For the past 30 years, the Trust has been responsive to the needs of our students and to the changing landscape of local education. However, the mission has never faltered: Strengthening education through creativity, community, and the natural world

Arts and Music Opportunities

The Trust supports opportunities in art and music that spark creativity and self-expression. By funding enrichment beyond the classroom, we help ensure every student has the chance to explore their talents, discover new interests, and experience the joy of creative learning

Leadership Training

The Trust invests in programs that help students grow as leaders and collaborators. Through team-building and confidence-boosting opportunities, students develop the skills they need to support one another and succeed in school and beyond.

The Trust makes it possible for students to learn through direct connections with the natural world. These experiences foster curiosity, respect for the environment, and a sense of wonder that stays with students long after they return to the classroom.
